I love word games.
After playing the Letter Boxed game in the New York Times, I found myself craving more puzzles, so I decided to learn how to write an app to create them.
Box of Letters is my first attempt.
I’m not a programmer by trade, so please excuse the rough edges. I just want to share my creation with the world.
For those curious about the details, Box of Letters contains just over 30,000 different games that have two-word solutions derived from a few thousand of the most commonly used words in the English language. All solutions are computer generated, not hand curated. I apologize if a word you’re not comfortable with slips in to a solution. The arbiter of whether a word is allowed is the spellchecker in your phone. If you don’t agree, your beef is with Apple, not me.
I welcome your feedback and suggestions, and I’ll try to address them.
Please enjoy.
